Redekin |
 Dorfkirche
Die Dorfkirche ist ein um 1200 errichteter Backsteinbau. Überall
sind regelmäßig angeordnete mittelalterliche Rüstlöcher
zu beobachten. Mit den charakteristischen romanischen Friesverzierungen
am Schiff und an der Apsis gehört die Kirche in Redekin
mit zu den bedeutendsten Bauten im Umkreis des Klosters in Jerichow.
Die an der Südwand des Chores eingeritzten Sonnenuhren und
eingearbeiteten Näpfenmarkierungen besitzen eine besondere
historische Bedeutung. |
Village
Church
The village church is a brick building erected around 1200. A
regular pattern of medieval putlog holes can be observed throughout.
With its typical Romanesque frieze decorations on the nave and
apse the church at Redekin is among the most significant structures
in the vicinity of the monastery of Jerichow. The sundial scratched
into the south wall of the choir as well as the cup marks are
of particular historical importance.
